Religious histories

I have travelled quite extensively throughout the years. When I think of religious history, one place comes to mind. Jerusalem, Israel. I lived there for 2 years. In one city, especially in the Old City, you can see 3 different religions co-existing. Judaism, Christianity and Muslim. As you walk through the Old City, it is like living history. You can see mosques, the Wailing/Western Wall and churches all within walking distance of each other.

Religion is an important physical force that has shape our planet. Religious conflicts have led to wars. (Martin and Nakayama 2009)  There are few places that this is more evident than in Israel.
Each religion feels that they have a right to claim Jerusalem for themselves. Living there and experiencing the history was an amazing experience.
